Dunloy close the gap on league leaders Raceview
WITH the weather kind all scheduled games were played on Saturday which saw Brantwood with a semi-final win over Cookstown Olympic claim a place in the final of the Crawford Cup where they will meet the winners of Raceview/Desertmartin v Kilbride Swifts/FC Ballynure.
At the top of the Intermediate Division Dunloy and Coleraine Crusaders made up ground on Raceview at the top who were playing in the McReynolds Cup.

Hide AdThere was little or no change at the league standings in the Junior Divisions due to cup games being played.
The top cup game of the day saw Ballymoney United Reserves away to Ballyclare Comrade Reserves with the local lads winnign 2-0 the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup.

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
Clough Rangers Athletic 2 v 2 Kilbride Swifts
Kilbride got off to an excellent start with Chris Walsh scoring with a 25 yard shot on the fourth minute.
Clough got back on level terms on the 25th minute Nigel Boyd heading in from a corner kick. Both teams then had chances but the next goal didn't come until Ricky Reid converted a penalty for Clough on the 71st minute.

Hide AdTime was then running out fast when Mark Kidd scored a deserved equaliser for Kilbride on the 88th minute. Referee Mr Brian Patterson
Ballycastle United 0 v 1 Rasharkin United
Both teams started off well and it appeared goals would be the order of the day but this did not materialise as the only goal in the game was scored by Johnny Nicholl on the 11th minute which gave Rasharkin the points.
Both teams will look back and wonder why the woodwork was struck so many times during the game. Referee Mr Wm McConaghie
Dunloy 1 v 0 Ballynure Old Boys
This was a must win game for both teams if they were to keep in touch with the league leaders and as a result the first-half saw the teams more or less cancel each other out.

Hide AdThe second half was following a similar pattern until Jamie McFerran broke the deadlock when he scored for Dunloy on the 56th minute. After this Ballynure went all-out for the equaliser but Dunloy held firm at the back to claim the win.
