Title race hots up in both Division One and Two

There was plenty of action in the Tennents Coleraine Pool League last week.

Potters A entertained the Forge and it was the visitors who played the better pool early on as they gave themselves a 6-4 lead after the first two sessions. Potters though showed their quality sotrming back to take the win 11-9. Man of the Match: Darryl Watt.

Mary Pats almost pulled off a big shock as they played host to the Sperrin. Trailing 10-5 they won the next three frames to close the gap to two and put the pressure on the visitors. Adam Watt stepped up for Sperring though to claim the crucial win in the next frame to seal the overall win. Man of the Match: Adam Watt.

Racks A kept up the pressure on the leaders with a comfortable 14-6 win over Bullseye A. Leading 11-4 after the first three sessions they needed only more for victory and star man Tommy Morrow duly obliged beating Paddy Lynch to secure victory.The biggest cheer of the night though came when Bullseye captain Steven ‘The Maverick’ Warwick beat Tommy.
