SELF-PORTRAITS by clients of Wilson House Day Centre, Broughshane, were recently displayed at an exhibition at Braid Museum and Arts Centre as part of the ‘Sharing Memories, Building Communities’ project.

Some clients hand traced their faces from photographs themselves and others were assisted in making their portrait due to disability.

All of the clients were surprised by their ability to paint and the classes brought people together to engage in a communal activity, to reminisce and talk about the past while enjoying the opportunity to paint.
