Speaking after her election at the Mid Ulster count in Ballymena today, when she polled 6147 first preferences, Mrs O’Neill said it was a vote of confidence in her party. Party colleague, Ian Milne, topped the poll and former Sinn Féin Mid Ulster Council Chairperson Linda Dillon was also elected in the first count.
