Warning over premium rate '˜Insolvency Service' phone scam

Members of the public are being warned not to fall for a telephony scam which asks you to make premium-rate calls to the Insolvency Service.

The report by Action Fraud - the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime - found that people were being asked to dial a telephone number that - although it does connect to the Insolvency Service - is not one of their official numbers, and is charged at an expensive rate.
